Special Education Fiscal Compliance Survey due November 6
The Special Education Fiscal Compliance Survey is due November 6, and must be completed by all Charters who receive IDEA B funds whether you receive SHARS funding or not. In the past, this report was only for SHARS participants; however, this year, the State is collecting data regarding 2019-20 expenditures in program intent code PIC 43 that is for dual coded dyslexia/SPED students with dyslexia services in the IEP. In addition, TEA is collecting data on coding information on the Region 20 Special Education Fiscal Support funding (fund 429/459), if received. The intent of both questions is to determine if your LEA has additional amounts to report toward your SPED MOE for 2019-20.
Please read the following memo for more information and directions to submit the survey: https://tea.texas.gov/about-tea/news-and-multimedia/correspondence/taa-letters/special-education-fiscal-compliance-survey-reporting-requirement
