AFR Reporting and Submission Webinar Quiz

TEA requires Charters to submit AFR and Charter Data Template no later than 150 days from fiscal year end.

For fiscal year 2018, TEA allows for a 30 day grace period from November 27th or January 28th to submit your AFR.

There are two Charter FIRST Indicators related to the AFR.

For indicator #13, what is the percentage you want to stay below to meet compliance?

It is required that the “Certificate of Board” be submitted signed with the AFR.

It is required that you print a copy of the TEA Import Audit Data Results after submission.

It is required to rename the PDF files per TEA standards to upload into the TEAL/TEASE account.

The Charter School Data Template is to be uploaded via the TEAL account to TEA along with your AFR and Management Letter.

There are 8 required tabs in the Charter School Data Template.

In the data template, if any variances come up between the template and the AFR, it is required that a comment explaining the difference be inserted.

If the charter is consolidated with other entities, you are to use the consolidated AFR data to enter into the Charter School Data Template.
