AFR Reporting and Submission Online Course Quiz 90 minutes

TEA requires Charters to submit AFR and Charter Data Template no later than 150 days from fiscal year end.

There are 8 required tabs in the Charter School Data Template.

In the data template, if any variances come up between the template and the AFR, it is required that a comment explaining the difference be inserted.

The AFR must be approved by the Charter’s Board of Directors.

Due to Covid-19, TEA has offered a waiver to extend all AFR due dates.

Single Audit is required for Charter holder that expends more than $750,000 in federal funds

It is required that the “Certificate of Board” be submitted signed with the AFR.

It is required that you print a copy of the TEA Import Audit Data Results after submission.

It is required to rename the PDF files per TEA standards to upload into the TEAL/TEASE account.

1. The management letter can be uploaded as part of the AFR.

If the charter is consolidated with other entities, you are to use the consolidated AFR data to enter into the Charter School Data Template.

The Charter School Data Template is to be uploaded via the TEAL account to TEA along with your AFR and Management Letter.
