Procurement and Purchasing Compliance Online Course

Efficient, effective, and ethical contracting practices are essential for charter schools working to achieve their goals and objectives in a cost-effective manner. At the completion of this session, attendees will understand that charter schools must adopt local purchasing policies and how to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements. The charter school’s objective is to purchase the best products, materials, and services at the lowest practical prices within relevant statutes, policies, and law. Procurement policies must, of course, accommodate the school district’s unique operating environment and needs. The procurement/purchasing function should be the result of conscious process design and be reviewed and challenged periodically.
