Prekindergarten- Qualifications, Documentation and PEIMS Coding Online Course

Description

Has your district implemented a full day Prekindergarten program for eligible 4-year-old students? Are you familiar with the multiple campus level and student level PK data elements we submit in Fall PEIMS, Summer PEIMS and the ECDS KG Core Collections? Prekindergarten programs are different and more complex than the other grade levels offered in your district. To receive ADA funding for the students in your PK program there are specific age requirements and qualification criteria that must be met! Are you confident that your district is qualifying and retaining the necessary documentation for your PK students? Have all the required PEIMS data elements pertaining to your PK program been coded in your Student Information System and verified for accuracy? Upon completion of this presentation, your district will have the tools needed to be in compliance, verify qualifications, retain documentation and properly code your PK program. This knowledge will save your district time, ensure proper funding and help you avoid costly TEA interventions in the future!
