At the completion of this session, attendees will understand the overall big picture of how to manage all of the pieces associated with a charter school’s personnel system. The personnel system manages the charter school’s largest asset, and largest cost; its staff. This session will focus on the functions/processes of recruiting, hiring and developing employees so they become a crucial team member serving the students. Other personnel system processes include the steps in deciding the employees’ wages, benefits, incentives, performance appraisal and succession planning. Upon completion, participants will be able to review their charter school’s personnel system and analyze any necessary improvements in policies, procedures and practices.
Charter School Success (CSS) provides Continuing Education units for TEA and TASBO certification in conjunction with their ongoing professional guidelines.
