The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires employers to pay most employees at least the federal minimum wage for each hour worked, as well as overtime time pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek. The FLSA allows for exemptions from these overtime and minimum wage requirements for certain employees including teachers, administrators, and more. However, to qualify for this exemption, these employees must meet a certain set of criteria. Further, the FLSA mandates certain work restrictions for various protected classes of employees. Join us to learn the ins-and-outs of FLSA – from basic topics to specific, advanced knowledge areas. Additionally, this webinar will expand on recent legislative developments and provide insights on how you should be responding.
