In Part I of our three-part series on TRS Reporting, this course will cover how to determine if an employee is in a TRS-eligible position, what compensation can be reported as creditable to count towards a participant’s retirement benefits, and how and when a participant earns a year of service credit in TRS. We will also explore the relationship between the various contribution types (New Member, Federal Fund/Private Grant, Non-OASDI) and when they are due from the reporting entity.
