EDGAR 1: Administrative Procedures, Internal Controls & Desk Audits Online Course

Melissa

The Education Department General Administrative Regulations, commonly known as EDGAR were amended by USDE in December 19, 2014.  When they took effect in 2015, all school districts and charter districts were required to update and implement specific policies and procedures related to their management and use of federal grants.  Those required policies and procedures serve as internal controls for all school personnel who have a part in using federal grant funds.  And now, with the updated EDGAR guidelines, which take effect July 1, 2025, all districts and charters are required to include updated policies in their federal and state grant written policies and procedures.
